A visit to the Sahara desert is an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. It is a journey well worth the effort and you will have fond memories to last you forever. Imagine yourself on top of a camel trekking through the Sahara desert. There is nothing around you; all you can hear are the footsteps of the camel on the soft sand. The sky is vast and clear in the day and filled with millions of bright stars at night. It is a peaceful experience, one rarely known to most of the Western World.

1) Camel Trek “Classic”- 1 night in Erg Chebbi

This tour of camel trekking begins after a relaxed Breakfast (depending on when you arrive). The camels will be packed with food, blankets, and everything else that we will need. The trek will start right into the desert, where it is completely secluded. Our path will lead us to a small oasis in the middle of the dunes. This is where we will spend the night. It will be a magical night when the sky is clear of cover and stars sparkle and shine with intensity.

After a wonderful dinner, we will build a campfire play drums, and sing the songs of the Berber, Touareg, and southern Moroccans.

In the morning you can get up early take a walk over the dunes and watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 50km from Merzouga.

You will be allowed to take nice pictures before and after breakfast and then you will be brought back to the hotel which is where the trek ends.

2) Camel Trek “Nomad” – 2 nights in Erg Chebbi

This tour begins after a relaxed Breakfast (depending on when you arrive). The camels will be packed with food, blankets, and everything else that we will need. The trek will start right into the desert, where it is completely secluded. The camp is located beside approximately a 120-meter-high dune, which is where you will be spending hours of fun sandboarding. During the first night, there will be a wonderful dinner around a campfire.

In the morning, after having breakfast we will have around 2 hours to reach our next destination. We will stop for lunch next to a desert tree ‘Tamarist’ for about 1 1/2 hrs. In the shadow of this tree, we will have our lunch. After lunch, we head towards the home of a Touareg family with whom you will spend your second night and share some time with. The next day we take you back to the hotel after having your breakfast where the trek ends.

3) Camel Trek “Experience” – 3 nights in Erg Chebbi

This trip of camel trekking begins after Breakfast (depending on when you arrive). The camels will be packed with food, blankets, and everything else that we will need.
