Things to do in El Jadida

 Jadida (formerly known as Mazagan) is a port city, about an hour’s drive from Casablanca, with a population of 220,000. The center of the city is a huge fortress (a UNESCO monument) built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The city is located in a flat area, rich in forests and greenery.

The mild climate makes Jadida attractive to tourists all year round. The swimming season in Jadida lasts from April to October. daytime temperatures range from 16 to 20 degrees from November to March and from 20 to 27 degrees from April to October.

Jadida can be reached in just over an hour by freeway from Casablanca’s main airport.
