Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait BenHaddou – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech to start your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech drive passing through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), the highest route in Morocco, giving panoramic views. . Then we will visit the magnificent Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site built on a hill and featured in several films such as Gladiator and Oblix. After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou center, we will follow the path of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Skoura Oasis and Rose Valley to Boumalne Dades. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorges to – Merzouga Erg Chebbi
Today we leave from Dades Gorges to Merzouga through the Todra Gorge, where you will take a pleasant walk between its impressive valley. Its walls are 200 meters large and at their most narrow are a rely 20 meters apart on. Then continue our Morocco desert tours, towards Merzouga, where camels will be waiting to carry you across the dunes and enjoy your camel trek as the sunsets over desert views for about 90 minutes to reach your desert camp and home for the nighttime.
Day 3: Merzouga - desert - N'kob - Marrakech
In the early morning, your camel host will pick you up to see the sunrise at the height of the dunes after breakfast and shower in the desert, saddle your camels and depart to Mezgouga to continue to the ancient city of Rissani, which was a significant stop for caravan roads. We continue our Morocco desert tours passing through the volcanic Sarhro mountains – so different from the Atlas Mountains – to the Draa canyon lined through several palm tree forests. Continue through Ouarzazate via the sublime valley of Draa with its charm of palm trees and Berber village of Agdez and anti-Atlas (1660 m altitude). Expected return to Marrakech at 7 pm. and End of your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech.

We booked a private 3 day tour from Marrakech to the desert with stops in Ait Ben Haddou, Todra Gorge and El Gchebi. Our guide was very friendly and had a lot to tell us about Morocco. It was a lot of driving but the air conditioning was very good and there was a fridge in the back with cold water for the whole trip. We especially enjoyed the Todra Gorge and all the beautiful countryside views. The next day we had some time and our guide took us to his hometown where we could see "real Moroccan life". His friend also invited us to have tea in their local store.

We had a fantastic time on our 4 day trip from Fez to Merzouga to Marrakech WITH Sahara Morocco Travel, It was a trip full of memorable experiences and delicious food that felt very authentic and left a deep impression. Our guide, Azziz, was a knowledgeable and excellent ambassador of Morocco and the Berbers who did his best to accommodate all of our requests and answer all of my endless questions. Hamid was a great driver and we always felt safe in his hands. He never missed an opportunity to help with luggage and open doors, and he was always friendly and smiling. It was hard to say goodbye because during those 4 days they really felt like a family.
