Arrive at Casablanca airport. Meet your driver guide and transfer to the city (30-40 minutes). Visit Casablanca, the “White City,” Morocco’s economic center. Begin your tour 5 days Atlantic coast tour from Casablanca with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the tallest minaret in the world (exterior visit and tour of the interior of the mosque).

We will visit the allotment district, built by the French in the 1920s, with a unique and delightful architectural style that blends European and Moorish influences. The heart of the district is the Mohammedan Fifth Avenue and Square, lined with Art Deco and neo-Moorish style administrative buildings. We will also visit the snow-white Cathedral of the Sacred Heart (now abandoned), the lively United Nations Square, and the Haps district (“New Medina”) with its cute souvenir stores and royal residences.

Breakfast at the hotel, check-out. Transfer to El Jadida (1.5 hours). El Jadida (formerly known as Mazagan) is a small port town with a 16th century Portuguese fortress in the centre (UNESCO monument). The quiet, semi-ruined town is almost devoid of tourists and it’s as if time has stood still. Visit the underground cisterns on the fortress grounds, once used for storage and reservoirs. The site has been used as a backdrop for several films, most notably Orson Welles’ Othello.

Transfer to Walidia (1.5 hours) – a small fishing village and resort on the shores of a unique lagoon over 8 km long. The warm, calm waters are ideal for oyster farming. This makes Oualidia one of the best places in Morocco for oyster and seafood lovers. Oyster tasting and lunch at a seafood restaurant (extra charge). Optional: boat trip in the lagoon.

Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Essaouira, also known as Mogador in Portuguese, is a small old seaside town chosen by artists, musicians and surfers. The call of seagulls, the sound of the waves, the fresh breeze from the Atlantic Ocean and the streets of the old town with its rich history create an atmosphere of relaxation and melancholy.

Transfer to Marrakech by car (3 hours en route, including stops). On the way, we will stop to take pictures of goats on the Agam trees, see how Argan is handmade in a women’s cooperative, and taste excellent Moroccan wines at one of the best wineries in the area.

Check in at a hotel in Marrakech. After nightfall, take a walk along the city’s main square, Jemaa el-Fna, you can see the full flavor of Marrakech: snake charmers and monkey tamers, Gnoa musicians and acrobats, henna painters and fortune tellers, water merchants and traditional healers, date and orange juice sellers. In the evening, the world-famous open-air restaurants open in the square, and for a nominal fee, you can enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes such as tagine and couscous, grilled meat and tanjie, lamb and eggs and boiled snails.

We continue to the Urica valley to enjoy the beautiful nature and learn about the way of life of the original inhabitants of Morocco, the Berber people. Nowadays they live mostly in the mountains, but their way of life has not changed much over the centuries: mud huts, subsistence farming, traditional dress. Despite their simple and difficult living conditions, they are very friendly, generous and hospitable.
