In the park overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque, meet the red-clad “water vendors” selling water on the city streets, then start your day at the magnificent Bahia Palace, considered one of the finest palaces of the 19th century, perfectly capturing the essence of Islamic and Moroccan styles. After lunch at a local restaurant in the trendy Gueliz district, we will visit Le Jardin Secret, a gorgeous garden built in the 16th century and owned by various sultans until the death of the last owner in 1934. Today, the garden has been restored and is divided into two sections, one filled with exotic plants from around the world and the other recreating the appearance of a 19th-century Islamic garden. Enjoy a stroll through the main square and the Jemaa el Fna marketplace, and then return to your hotel for some time to explore on your own, and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your own pace.

Near this ksar is Ouarzazate considered the ‘Gateway to the Desert’ and the Hollywood of Morocco for its film studios. In its urban center is the kasbah of Taourirt, which we will visit. Afterward, it will be off to the hotel located in this town, where dinner will be served and we will enjoy a well-deserved night’s rest.
Day 5: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley Via Route Thousand Kasbahs.
After breakfast in Riyadh, check out of Ouarzazate and drive to explore the oasis of Skoura, where you will visit Kasbah Amridil. From the Skoura tour, drive through the Valley of Roses, where its people used to make creams, soaps and the famous rose water from all-natural rose crops. Lunch in one of the Berber villages along the way in a typical local restaurant. Continue our journey to the Dades Valley, where our local guide will meet us for a 2-hour hike to explore the beautiful scenery of the Dades Gorge in the High Atlas Mountains.
Day 6: Dades Valley Off Road to Ramlia desert.

We will have Berber pizza for lunch in a traditional restaurant. Then it’s a short drive to a nearby hotel for some refreshments before a camel ride into the desert, which will take us to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes. After lunch, we will visit the old village of Ahouli, built by the French in the 1930s. At its peak, it was home to workers living on a plateau 660 steps above the riverbed in the gorge. Today, all but a few of the guardians’ families have moved away, but much of the abandoned mining remains. It is located 25 km northeast of Midelt. Afterward, we drive back to Midelt. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 9: Midlte to Fes Via Atlas Mountains
After breakfast, continue our journey Morocco 12 days tour from Casablanca to Fes and take in the beauty of the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, watching the abundance of Barbary macaques as we pass through. There will be an opportunity to meet them in the forest, an experience you will remember forever. Traveling in troops of 10 to 30, they are the only species of macaques found outside of Asia – indeed, they are the only primates found north of the Sahara! We pass through Ifrane; a charming town, nicknamed ‘Little Switzerland’. Although unusual in Morocco, the architecture of the Middle Atlas Mountains, being Alpine in style, gives this place the charm and magnetism of a European ski resort and is certainly a popular destination for skiers. We then head off to spend the night in the city of Fes!
Day 10: Fes tour Guide
The city of Fes is over 1,200 years old and its well-preserved old town is a vast labyrinth of winding streets and alleyways, fragrant bazaars, and eclectic architecture; no cars are allowed here, so transport is on foot in the old traditional style. Choose the focal point of your morning tour: you can opt for a guided tour to sample the local cuisine or take a peek inside the artisans who produce intricate hand carvings, carpets, leather, and metalwork. Have lunch in the medina and enjoy an exclusive lecture by a local researcher on life in Morocco from a woman’s perspective. After lunch, take a tour of the city’s famous leather tanneries, dominated by numerous deep, brightly colored dye pools; leather is prepared here in the same way it was in medieval times to supply the artisans in the markets and bazaars. Return to the hotel, then dinner with us at the riad, an inn with a central garden or courtyard; the Palais Faraj is a blend of ancient and modern architecture set in a medina in Fes.
Day 11: Fes to Casablanca Via Meknes
This morning, visit the American Fondouk, a charity veterinary clinic specialising in the care of donkeys and mules that carry goods through the streets of Fez’s souk (you may have seen a few of them walking around town). Then transfer to Meknes. This fortified city, with its opulent Spanish-Moorish architecture, dates back to the 11th century but rose to fame in the 17th century under Sultan Moulay Ismail, who made it the capital of his expanding empire. Moulay Ismail, known as the Warrior King, was a powerful and fierce leader who liberated Morocco from the Ottomans and Europeans. This morning’s walking tour of Meknes includes Moulay’s stables, which were large enough to house 12,000 horses and were designed to be fed and watered by an aqueduct and granary; the city’s medina; and a visit to the historic madrassa (or medersa), an Islamic educational center and Koranic school. After a hearty lunch and free time in Meknes, head to Casablanca and watch Bogart and Bergman’s classic film of the same name en route. In the late afternoon, arrive at your Four Seasons hotel by the sea, which exudes modern Moroccan elegance; this evening, dine at the hotel.
